Malaysia Employer Cost Calculator — EPF, SOCSO, EIS and HRDF

What an employee actually costs the company each month and each year: the salary plus the employer's EPF, SOCSO and EIS contributions and the HRDF levy. Worked out in your browser as you type — nothing entered here is sent anywhere.

Statutory contributions use the bands in force for October 2026. The employer's SOCSO share does not change during the SKBBK phase-in — the steps in 2026, 2028 and 2031 move cost to the employee, not the employer. For the employee's side of the same payslip, use the salary calculator.

How this is worked out

  1. Employer EPF — calculated the way the schedule does: the wage is rounded up to its contribution band (RM20 steps up to RM5,000, RM100 steps up to RM20,000) and the contribution rounded up to the ringgit. The statutory rate is 13% for wages of RM5,000 and below, 12% above — the calculator follows the salary automatically until you pick a rate. A bonus draws employer EPF too, shown separately in the yearly total.
  2. SOCSO and EIS — fixed employer amounts per wage band, from the PERKESO schedule; wages above the top band pay the ceiling amounts. A bonus is not subject to either. The full band tables are published here, gazetted future steps included.
  3. HRDF — the human resources development levy under the PSMB Act 2001: 1% of monthly wages for employers with 10 or more Malaysian employees, an optional 0.5% for those with 5 to 9. The levy is charged on wages plus fixed allowances; this estimate applies it to the salary entered.

An estimate for budgeting, not an assessment. Rates and bands follow the gazetted schedules the AutoCount HRMS payroll engine runs on; confirm against the current KWSP, PERKESO and HRD Corp schedules before relying on a figure.

Run payroll on the engine behind these pages — AutoCount HRMS calculates EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB exactly as published here.
